The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has launched its 2024/2025 Annual Report at the Integrity Centre, detailing that 152 out of 166 officers failed integrity exams, 4 passed while 10 were inconclusive.
Unveiled by Chairperson Dr. David Oginde, accompanied by the Commissioners and CEO Mr. Abdi Mohamud, the report, dated Monday, December 8, 2025, showcases major progress in law enforcement, corruption prevention, and public engagement.
The Commission filed 79 asset recovery suits in 2025, the highest in the last five years, targeting assets worth Ksh 4.8 billion andsuccessfully recovering Ksh 3.4 billion.
Through timely intelligence interventions, EACC further averted losses amounting to Ksh 16.5 billion.
In addition, the period also saw convictions rise significantly, from 12 to 33, a clear indication of strengthened investigative and prosecutorial efforts.
The commission continued its stellar performance by blocking 50 people from appointment to public office over ethical concerns in 2024/2025.
Of these individuals, 47 were fornational government jobsand 3 for county positions.
Moreover, the EACC conducted 166 integrity tests on officers in government agencies, including KRA, NPS, Eldoret Airport, Land Ministry, among others.
However, the integrity test results show that 152 failed, four passed, while 10 were inconclusive.
Furthermore, the commission participated in significantly more multi-agency collaborations and youth engagement initiatives.
Despite these impressive gains, the Commission acknowledges several persistent challenges, including weak enforcement of Chapter Six, interference with witnesses, intimidation of officers, institutional silos, and widespread public apathy.
With the International Anti-Corruption Day on December 9, 2025, EACC has called for collective responsibility and renewed commitment to integrity and good governance.
