Oburu Meets Sifuna to Reassure Unity Amid ODM Infighting

The Orange Democratic Movement party leader, Oburu Odinga, has met with the embattled party Secretary General Edwin Sifuna amid growing internal tensions within the party.
According to a statement from Oburu, the two met on Wednesday at the party leader's office in Nairobi. Oburu stated that the meeting was intended to reinforce unity and dialogue among party leaders.
"I met with my friend, Senator Edwin Sifuna, the Secretary General of the ODM Party, this morning. He remains a sober and principled voice, embodying the democratic ideals we believe in as a party," Oburu said.
He stressed that despite differences of opinion, the party remains united. "We are one. We are united as the ODM Party," he added.
Following the meaning, Oburu noted the importance of open debate within the party, noting that disagreements should not be mistaken for division, maintaining that robust discussions are critical for the growth and continuity of the party.
